As a rule of thumb, a dog’s nails should be trimmed when they just about touch the ground when he or she walks. If your pet’s nails are clicking or getting snagged on the floor, it’s time for a trim.

Getting Ready:
1. Place towel on a table to restrict your pets’ movement.
2. Prepare clippers, tissues, and some pet treats.
3. Make sure your pet is relaxed and comfortable – use treats if needed.
4. Place your pets’ body close to yours and hold their paw with your non dominant hand.
5. Make sure that the safety blade is in place so you do not cut in too quick.

Nail Trimming:
1. Hold clippers at a slight angle and keep it with the curve of the nail.
2. Quickly cut the nail in one move.
2. Do not cut nails too short to avoid bleeding.
3. Use included nail file to polish sharp nail edges.
4. Remember to give your pal a treat for being patient.
